As of 2018, I’ve been awaiting a band to capture the essence of an emotional state that has been running on high for the last three years. From pure kismet, Junko Daydream flew under the radar and into the inbox for these ears to immediately crave.  Whether it be the desire to hear new music or to be able to latch on to a band who are driving their own way, Junko Daydream is projecting a creative unfolding we should be following. With their music video Bug Bites released last month, the video crosses boundaries between Lord of the Flies and Moonrise Kingdom. Given that the band categorizes themselves as post-hardcore/emo. I think it goes to show that going forward with your craft can influence anyone new who happens to tune in and listen.
